Our Story

Our story continued from the Home page...

After moving to Utah in 2006 the Grants searched for a historic dance group like those they had worked with in Georgia. Finding none, they decided to start their own so that they could share the enjoyment and charm of 1700s and 1800s dancing with the people of Utah. Their dance classes and performances were very well received at many functions in Utah.

The Grants have had enthusiastic participation at their many historical dance classes, balls, and hosted events at which they have been hired to teach. Several times they have been asked to continue the teaching beyond their scheduled time, because the interest in the historical dancing was so high. For events, Kimberli and Tom teach in full period dress, complete with white gloves displaying and demonstrating the splendor from the bygone days of Colonial, Jane Austen, Pioneer, Victorian, and Edwardian Eras.

The Grants now reside in Nauvoo, Illinois and are thrilled to bring their historical merriments with them as they add the grandeur of antique dancing, parlor games, Victorian caroling, and dress to any event. If you sometimes feel you were born in the wrong century or want to pretend to travel back in time to the 1700s or 1800s, this is your opportunity!

Kimberli plans to hold Historical Dance Classes twice a month and perhaps more often. She has been thrilled with the great attendance at Nauvoo's 1st Dickens Christmas Ball and Historical Dance Classes.

The Grants can also be hired to teach at parties, receptions or events hosted by others.
