Come ye humbug and break free from your Christmas’ past and make a new Christmas memory by attending this fun filled ball! It’s coming up soon, delay not like Mr. Marley!
Experience a holiday tradition at the 2nd Nauvoo, but our 12th annual, Dickens Christmas Ball and celebrate the holiday season Victorian style just as they knew in the time of Charles Dickens complete with delicacies, parlor games, singing Christmas Carols around the piano, & historical dancing of old fashioned charm.
Historical clothing styles from the lifetime of Dickens (1820-1870) or modern formal dress are requested.
Historical Merriments will expertly transport you back in time and take you through the paces of the dances of that merry era, putting even inexperienced frolickers at ease on the dance floor interspersed with open waltzes and polkas. And of course a Victorian ball wouldn’t be complete without some lively parlor games played throughout the evening.
